Quick Start Tutorial

Introduction

We’ve designed this User Guide to be very easy to use and to get you up and running as quickly as possible. For people that want to dive right into using the SRW, we’ve created the following Quick Start Tutorial. We do recommend reading the entire User Guide after you’re done testing it out. We go into much more detail about each area of the Admin Center as well as all functions of SRW.

Quick Start Steps

Access your Admin Center Password screen using the URL that was given to you. Enter the password and click Submit.

Access the System Settings screen and enter your email address, customize your confirmation and expire emails, as well as other program settings. Then click the Update Settings button.
(These settings can easily be entered or changed at any time. For now, at least update your email address. The first three settings were set when we installed SRW and changing them will prevent it from working correctly.)

Test using the sample sites
There are two sample Master Websites installed by default that you can use to test the other SRW functions. Go ahead and view the Add/Edit Master Directory screen to see the two sample Master Websites and then go to the Replicate Website screen to actually replicate them. You can delete the sample Master Websites any time you like. We recommend keeping them as a reference until your up and running smoothly.

Test by adding your own website
First, you will need to create a Master Website Directory (MWD) to store your website.

Add MWD: Access the Add/Edit Master Directory screen, enter the Name and Path for your Master Website and click the Add Master Website Directory button. Your MWD should now be listed and it is ready for you to upload your Web pages and images.

Upload Master Website: Click the Upload link for your MWD to access the Upload screen. Click the Browse button to locate and select your Web pages and images from your personal computer. Click the Upload Files button. When complete, you can view the Master Website by clicking the link on the MWD screen.

Replicate Website test: Access the Replicate Website screen and select your Master Website. Enter a website name, start and expire date and your email address. The other Customer Information fields are not necessary, but you may want to add sample data so you can see how it is used with the Report feature. When you are done, click the Replicate Website button. (Since you haven’t added any Customizing Tags to your Master Website, selecting the check boxes next to each Customer Information field will not personalize the website yet. More on this later.)

That’s all there is to it! By now you should have received a confirmation email, which is what your customers will receive after you replicate their site. Feel free to view and test the other Admin screens and functions.

If you already haven’t done so, this would be a good time to change your password.
